Look at that red knot! Runs all the way through this thing. I finished the piece with mineral oil so I imagine the yellow-hue of the wood is going to fade to something closer to white with time, so if the shade isn’t exactly to your liking (or if it is exactly to your liking), it likely won’t be permanent. Still, some really neat stuff to enjoy in this one! Like, again, that red knot (and some chatoyancy!)
