Dogwood! It’s a hugely popular tree and it’s pretty neat wood to boot! Super hard, a really neat pinkish color, and some fun stuff going on in this piece as well. Also I turned this one kinda green, so the cracks you see in the photos are likely to only grow even larger (the big crack running down the side especially), so if you’re looking for something neat and clean and functional, this isn’t the vase for you. If you want something really cool on a shelf or something, though, then hell yeah. The cracks are just gonna rule even harder.
