Big! Tall! Heavy! Oaken! It’s a big, tall, heavy (gambel) oaken vase! The gambel oak is the native oak in my area, commonly called scrub oak, you can’t visit the foothills of most any mountainside around here without encountering a thicket of these things, but they’re so scraggly and crooked you almost never see their wood used for much, so I really enjoy showcasing their natural beauty in a vase like this one!
